The estranged wife of union boss John Setka has been charged with plotting to kill him.
Emma Walters, 46, was charged with incitement to commit conspiracy to murder Setka, who is the Victorian secretary of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union.
Victoria Police said a 46-year-old woman from Footscray had been charged “after she allegedly attempted to acquire a firearm and made threats to kill a man earlier this month”.

Walters told the Herald Sun: “I deny the allegations, it will continue to be investigated by police and I’ll let police do the work and I co-operated with them today.”
Walters was released on bail and will face Melbourne Magistrates Court on April 5.
She is suing the Victorian government over claims it failed to protect her.
Mr Setka was in 2019 convicted of harassing Walters and breaching intervention orders. He denied allegations of domestic violence.
