Two dead in horror caravan fire

Two people have died and a third has been taken to hospital with burn injuries after a horror fire.

A caravan in Upper Brookfield, in Brisbane’s western suburbs, caught fire in the early hours of Saturday, with multiple fire crews racing to the property on Galvin Road about 4.30am.

Two people were found dead inside the caravan, which had been completely destroyed with parts of the roof collapsed, police said.

Paramedics treated a man with burns to his hands, and he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police have declared a crime scene as they work to determine the cause of the fire.

Anyone with information, including drivers with dashcam and nearby residents with CCTV systems, are urged to contact police.
