The twin brother of an alleged murderer who left his victim’s torso in an abandoned wheelie bin has faced court charged with helping him commit the crime.
On Tuesday afternoon, Peter James Murphy, 51, faced the Adelaide Magistrates Court accused of helping his twin brother Mark John Murphy and another woman, Sheree Glastonbury, murder Geoffrey McLean.

Peter Murphy’s partner, Lynette Sexton, 50, has also been charged with assisting an offender and appeared after him in court.
Magistrate Michael Barnett heard neither would be applying for bail and adjourned their matters to again face court alongside the two charged with Mr McLean’s murder.
Court documents viewed by NCA NewsWire have revealed both Murphy brothers had been residing at the same address in Brahma Lodge, which is now being investigated by police as a crime scene.

On March 6, Ms Glastonbury, Mr McLean’s former lover, was charged with one count of murder alongside 51-year-old Mark John Murphy.
Outside court, Ms Glastonbury’s sister, Tina, spoke to the media.
“It’s upsetting. I’d love to discuss it further, but due to the court proceedings, I can’t make any comments,” she said.

Court documents later revealed Mark Murphy had allegedly been involved in a series of crimes against Mr McLean, including assault, trespass, attempted murder and causing serious harm, since April last year.
Mark Murphy was charged with attempted murder over the incident, but just four months after the brutal attack, police allege he helped murder Mr McLean.
In October, the dismembered torso of the missing South Australian man was found in a bin in a Salisbury South vacant block.
All four will reappear in court in June.
