A major truck rollover during peak hour has caused major delays in Melbourne’s west.

Just after 9am on Friday, a truck reportedly smashed into another truck, as well as a transit van on Robinsons Road in Ravenhall, about 25 km west of Melbourne.

Two people were stuck in one of the trucks, with emergency services on scene helping to extract them just after 10.30am.

Ambulance Victoria said paramedics were called to a report of a truck collision just after 9am.

“Two people were trapped in a truck for some time.”

The driver of the truck and his passenger have since been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with lower body injuries in a stable condition.

Robinsons Road has been closed for southbound traffic at the bypass, with commuters encouraged to take Fitzgerald Road as an alternative.
