A man has died after he was stabbed in a suburban street.
Police were called to York Street and MacAlister Street in Sale about 1am on Sunday after receiving reports a man had been stabbed.
When they arrived, they found the injured man in the street and provided first aid until ambulance crews arrived.
The man died at the scene.
The intersection remains closed and traffic diversions are in place.
