A woman is suing Rolf Harris over claims the paedophile entertainer sexually assaulted her when she was 10 years old.

The woman says she was a ward of the state in Melbourne when Harris allegedly molested her in 1982, the Herald Sun reported.

Harris, now 92, served three years in prison in the UK after being found guilty of 12 indecent assaults against four underage girls. One count was overturned on appeal.

The Melbourne woman claims she was introduced to Harris after he played a show at a camp at Mount Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula.

She claims he was helping her pick spilt wax off her dress when he used a “hug-lift” to move her onto him.

She then claims he sexually assaulted her.

“I remember feeling petrified, terrified and panicked,” she said, recalling that she screamed when he touched her.

She claims that, when confronted, Harris called her a “lying brat”.

The woman is also suing the State of Victoria and foster care provider OzChild over alleged abuses that happened when she was under their care.

Lawyer John Rule of Maurice Blackburn said Harris’ alleged offending was “opportunistic and blatant”.

“We know this is a pattern of behaviour. It’s a real arrogance in his offending,” Mr Rule said.

Harris, who famously painted Queen Elizabeth II, was stripped of his CBE and other accolades after his sickening crimes came to light.

In 2014 he was sentenced to five years and nine months in prison, and was released in 2017.

He has rarely been seen in public since his release and is understood to be suffering from cancer, leaving him unable to talk or eat without a tube.
