A heavily pregnant woman has been seriously assaulted in a brazen daylight home invasion.
Queensland Police allege a 23-year-old man forced his way into the home in the Ipswich suburb of Booval on Wednesday and attacked the pregnant woman, who is in her third trimester of pregnancy.
The 43-year-old woman was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
The man’s been charged with one count each of ‘enter dwelling with intent by break using violence,’ ‘acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm,’ ‘’torture,’ and ‘unlawful stalking using violence.’
Detectives from Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 23-year-old man after a break and enter in which a pregnant 43-year-old woman was seriously assaulted on Wednesday.

Police found the 23-year-old man nearby and took him into custody.
He’s been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent by break using violence, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, torture, and unlawful stalking using violence.
He appeared in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday and is due back on March 24.
