One lucky Australian has woken up $40m richer after taking home the top prize in Thursday night’s Powerball draw.
But the mystery winner is yet to come forward and claim their life-changing prize – prompting calls from lottery officials for the winner to check their ticket.
The only thing known about the winner is that the ticket was purchased in Western Australia.

It is not known if that person is a resident of the state.
The winning numbers for Thursday’s draw were 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21 and 29 and the Powerball was 18.
The odds of winning division one are more than 134 million to one, according to The Lott.
Whether the winner is from the west or not, Lotterywest chief executive Ralph Addis said the win could benefit the whole state regardless.

“This Powerball jackpot run alone has seen more than $6.4 million raised for the Western Australian community through the Lotterywest grants program,” he said.
“When WA players win, the entire WA community benefits.”
