Murder charge laid in harbour death

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after a young woman’s body was found in a Perth harbour.

The body of Helen Jeremy Solomon Marsuk, 25, from Koongamia, was found in the water at Success Boat Harbour on Capo D’Orlando Drive in South Fremantle on Sunday morning.

The Gosnells man has been charged with one count of murder.

“Homicide squad detectives are establishing a timeline of her movements between Wednesday, November 30 and Sunday, December 4,” police said in a statement on Wednesday.

Police believe the 25-year-old was wearing a pink dress and a carrying a pink handbag around Oats St in Carlisle on November 30.

It is understood several small items were pulled from the water as police divers scoured the scene earlier this week.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

The man will appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on Friday.
