A truck has rolled over in south Sydney spewing waste over the road and causing major delays for motorists.

Aerial photos show traffic has banked up for kilometres over the Tom Ugly’s Bridge and impacting northbound traffic at peak hour.

A Transport Management Centre spokesperson said about 8.20am, one northbound lane is likely to reopen soon.

All three northbound lanes were closed on the Princes Hwy approaching Tom Uglys Bridge near Clare St.
