Tony Mokbel has been rushed to Geelong Hospital from Barwon Prison.
The underworld figure’s health issue may be associated with a blood clot, the Herald Sun reported.
He left the prison in an ambulance at around 8pm on Thursday.

Mokbel, a notorious figure in Melbourne, has experienced various medical problems in recent years while serving his 30-year sentence for drug trafficking.
A court hearing last month revealed that his mental health had deteriorated due to severe social isolation.
He was also hospitalised in April last year for chest pains.
In 2019, Mokbel suffered a cardiac arrest after being attacked by two inmates who had stabbed and beaten him with makeshift weapons.
He also experienced a heart attack in February 2012 while in custody.
