A woman has been caught on CCTV footage allegedly stealing $300 worth of clothes from a boutique in Sydney’s east.

Naomi Levi, who owns the Naomi Levi store on Hall Street in trendy Bondi, told A Current Affair the woman – who has since been nicknamed the “Bondi bandit” – made off with an evening dress, a denim jacket, a skirt and a top.

The incident took place just after 4.40pm on Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 14.

According to footage from inside the store, the woman appears to take the merchandise into a change room before carrying out the theft.

Ms Levi said the ordeal had been a major blow for her business.

“It’s not like we’re making tonnes of money at the moment,” she told ACA.
